Sometimes the best gift for a child is your time.

chocolate-crinkle-cookieA few months ago, my two kids were spending time with their cousin, Danny, who lives in New York and only visits once a year. A rainy day caused a bump in our plans and gave us some extra time to fill. So, we decided to bake cookies.

Sophie and Lily became beekeepers after a visit to Creative Discovery Museum’s Honey Harvest.

Recently, two young sisters began gathering honey and knowledge after discovering a passion for beekeeping at Creative Discovery Museum. Sisters Sophie and Lily visited the Museum during our Honey Harvest, held the last weekend of every July. The girls and their parents watched beekeepers extract honey, tasted different varieties of honey, and learned about beekeeping.

Children love vehicles. We have all witnessed a fascination in young children for wheels and modes of transportation. Even before they understand the concept of riding in a vehicle, children get great joy from wheels on vehicles.

Creative Discovery Museum‘s upcoming Preschool Adventure Day will focus on the many “Ways to Go” by exploring the various ways people travel. Preschool Adventure Days focus on a variety of activities that will help expand a child’s vocabulary.
